The double-sided tape is typically used for attaching add-on parts such as bumpers, trim strips and emblems. The 3M (TM) Acrylic Foam Adhesive Tape 5428 consists of dark gray acrylic foam with additional acrylic adhesive on one side. The double-sided adhesive tape has very good adhesion to a variety of automotive surfaces, good internal strength, excellent long-term stability and very good conformability to the surfaces to be bonded. The unique viscoelastic properties of 5428 provide excellent stress relief in the adhesive seam, resulting in extremely durable bonds.
