3M (TM) 9882 Thermally Conductive Adhesive Film is designed to create a preferential thermal conductive path between high heat dissipation components and heat sinks. These tapes are pressure sensitive adhesives with thermally conductive ceramic fillers. Pressure is required to create a bond. Some substrates may require heat and pressure to achieve an acceptable bond. The special acrylic chemistry of these tapes ensures good thermal stability of the base polymer. The thermally conductive tapes are on a silicone-treated polyester carrier film for ease of handling and die-cutting. The tapes offer both good thermal conductivity and good electrical insulation properties.
