3M (TM) Heat Activatable Adhesive Film Y-582A has an initial tack at room temperature; therefore it can be easily applied and repositioned. After the tape is applied, it is cross-linked by pressure (over 3N/sqcm) and heat (over 130°C). This cross-linking provides additional temperature and solvent resistance as well as higher shear strength. 3M (TM) Heat Activatable Adhesive Film Y-582A can be used for a variety of bonds to metals, glass and thermoset resins.
