The double-sided adhesive tape is particularly suitable for attaching elastomeric add-on parts such as seals to the body or door. The 3M (TM) Acrylic Foam Adhesive Tape 5339 is characterized by very good adhesion to a variety of automotive surfaces. One side of the tape is bonded to the paint surface with a pressure-sensitive adhesive, the other side is bonded to the elastomeric attachment part with a heat-activated adhesive. The heat-activated adhesive guarantees a permanent bond, especially to seals. Characteristic properties of 5339 are good internal strength, excellent long-term stability and very good adaptability to the surfaces to be bonded.
