3M (TM) Double-sided Adhesive Tape 9040 is a double-sided general purpose adhesive tape. It consists of a pressure-sensitive synthetic rubber adhesive with high tack and strong instant adhesion, a non-woven paper backing and an easy-to-remove siliconized release liner. With its balanced combination of high tack/immediate adhesion and good shear strength at room temperature, adhesive tape 9040 is suitable for a wide range of surfaces, including low surface energy plastics such as polyethylene and polypropylene. However, the surface should be carefully checked for compatibility before use. Adhesive tape 9040 must not be exposed to organic or aromatic solvents.
