The 3M (TM) Cubitron (TM) II Fiber Disc 987C offers a higher removal rate and longer life than other fiber and abrasive discs. Our abrasive discs feature 3M precision-formed abrasive grain combined with a stiff fiber backing for increased productivity in medium and heavy-duty stock removal applications. Use the 3M (TM) Cubitron (TM) II Fiber Disc 987C to achieve exceptionally high removal rates at lower contact pressure and allow for maximum operator comfort on demanding tasks. Our high-performance wheels are ideal for removing weld seams and for chamfering, grinding and blending. An integrated grinding aid makes the grinding wheel an excellent product for all types of metal. It provides a cooler grind on stainless steel and heat-sensitive metals such as nickel alloys and titanium, reduces tarnishing and oxidation of the metal and also reduces the likelihood of heat-related stress cracking. As a result, our grinding wheels are superior to competitor products in terms of durability and performance. The grinding wheels contain 3M precision-formed abrasive grain, which forms triangular points that cut the metal rather than gouge or "plow through" it like conventional abrasives. These points break off and continuously self-sharpen, enabling extremely fast cutting. Our discs have a robust, rigid backing made of vulcanized fibre, which is wear-resistant and can cope with demanding grinding applications. They are ideal for removing mill scale, pitting and imperfections.
