The 3M (TM) Cushion-Mount (TM) Plus plate mounting tape B1020 is used for mounting flexographic printing plates on cylinders or sleeves, especially when small batches need to be produced as cost-effectively as possible or when frequent plate changes are required. This white, adhesive foam tape for mounting plates enables high-quality standard combination printing. Bubble-free mounting of flexographic printing plates The 3M (TM) Cushion-Mount (TM) Plus plate mounting tape B1020 features the 3M (TM) Comply (TM) bonding system technology, which allows air to escape on the plate side. This enables easy application with virtually no air bubbles and a more consistent print quality. This 0.51mm thick, double-coated, standard density white foam tape is ideal for high quality standard combination printing and securely bonds the flexo photopolymer plate to the printing sleeve or steel cylinder to prevent plate edge delamination during printing. This flexo plate mounting tape has no reinforcement layer, so it can expand and contract on thin-walled sleeves, which also helps to reduce air bubbles. The 3M (TM) Cushion-Mount (TM) Plus plate mounting tape B1020 is equipped with technical acrylic adhesives for 20-mil applications. The adhesive on the side with protective film (facing the plate) has been specially developed for mounting photopolymer plates. The adhesive on the side without protective film (sleeve/cylinder) is intended for mounting on flexographic printing cylinders or sleeves. Easy mounting without air pockets In contrast to flat or textured liners, the B-series liners have a diamond-shaped grid pattern. This creates special micro-channels in the adhesive that allow air to flow through the adhesive. Air bubbles disappear between the adhesive tape and the plate, resulting in virtually bubble-free plate mounting. Shorter set-up times and smoother surfaces ensure cleaner print quality and higher productivity. The adhesive prevents peeling at the edges.
