3M (TM) Tinned Copper Foil EMI Shielding Tape 1183 is a 2.6 mil thick shielding tape with acrylic adhesive. This flame retardant tape is suitable for applications that require superior electrical conductivity from the substrate through the adhesive to the backing material. Its protective film is peelable and it allows for easy processing and die-cutting. The tape is suitable for dry applications at a rated voltage of 600 V. The 3M (TM) EMC Copper Shielding Tape 1183 is a tin-coated copper foil with a conductive acrylic adhesive. The tin provides excellent solderability and is compatible with a variety of base materials such as galvanized steels, aluminium, lead and tin alloys. Its excellent corrosion resistance and very good punchability significantly extend its range of applications. With an electrical resistance of five milliohms, the copper foil, which is only 0.066 millimetres thick, has good conductivity and can also be used for earthing and discharging electrostatic charges in addition to EMC applications. The adhesive tape is flame-retardant in accordance with UL 510 and its adhesive is resistant to solvents, which ensures long-lasting functionality.
