3M (TM) Adhesive Tape 40 is an antistatic all-purpose adhesive tape that is suitable for static-sensitive areas. It can withstand temperatures up to 130 °C. The 3M (TM) Antistatic Tape 40 has a backing of transparent polyester film with a coating of pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive. At less than 50 volts, it generates only a minimal triboelectric charge when detaching from steel. It therefore has excellent antistatic properties. It is therefore suitable for sealing electrostatically protective packaging and for universal use in electrostatically protected workplaces and areas. The antistatic tape is printed with an ESD marking on the adhesive side.
