The cream-colored ET 44D-A polyester laminate with acrylic adhesive has a breakdown voltage of 6000 V. Insulation class: B (130 °C) The 3M (TM) polyester laminate 44D-A is a reinforced adhesive tape with very good tracking resistance. The 0.30 millimetre thick adhesive tape can withstand a breakdown voltage of 6,000 volts and, with a temperature resistance of up to 130 °C, belongs to insulation class B. While the acrylate adhesive is extremely resistant to solvents and "flagging", the backing is robust and elastic at the same time thanks to the combination of polyester film and non-woven fabric. The polyester laminate is therefore suitable for fastening and taping in motors and forming spools. Due to its dielectric properties, the polyester laminate is ideal for edge insulation (margin tape) in transformers.
