3M (TM) Polyester Insulation Tape 5 is a general purpose insulation tape with a polyester film backing. This single-sided tape is designed for insulation applications that require high dielectric strength. This tape is rated for 600 V and can withstand a temperature range of 0 to 130 °C. The 3M (TM) Polyester Film 5 is a particularly thin and elastic insulating tape that is also highly resistant. While the acrylate adhesive is extremely resistant to solvents and flagging, the carrier is characterized by very high tear and abrasion resistance. The 0.06 millimeter thin adhesive tape can withstand a breakdown voltage of 5,500 volts and, with a temperature resistance of up to 130 °C, belongs to insulating material class B. The transparent polyester film is ideal for fixing connecting wires, as it allows the correct contact assignment to be checked visually.
