The 3M (TM) Polyester Insulating Tape 56 is a moisture-resistant insulating tape. This tape is suitable for insulation applications that require high dielectric strength. This tape is rated for 600 V and can withstand a temperature range of 0 to 130 °C. The 3M (TM) Polyester Film 56 is a particularly thin and elastic insulating tape that is characterized by its high adhesive strength. While the thermosetting rubber adhesive is extremely resistant to flagging, the backing has very high tear and abrasion resistance. The 0.06 millimeter thin adhesive tape can withstand a breakdown voltage of 5,500 volts and, with a temperature resistance of up to 130 °C, belongs to insulation class B. The yellow polyester film is ideal for interlayer insulation and cover taping on coils.
