3M (TM) Fabric Tape 5959 is built tough, holds strong and removes cleanly, even up to 90 days after application. Its unique polyethylene backing, placed over a dense fabric backing, is strong enough to penetrate spatter from stucco, exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS) and other heavy coatings. 3M (TM) Fabric Tape 5959 removes cleanly from most surfaces because its adhesive surface is a unique blend of natural rubber and synthetic adhesive. The tape is ideal for applications in the construction industry as well as the boat and shipbuilding industry and other applications such as trimming and plastering of exterior paint surfaces. The structure of the adhesive tape corresponds to the structure of climate control tapes for industrial use, making it well suited for sealing, fastening, bundling, marking and protecting. The tape comes off cleanly without leaving marks and can withstand even very demanding trimming applications, e.g. exterior coatings. The smooth, red polyethylene backing is easy to recognize and protects the underlying surfaces from UV radiation and abrasion.
