The 3M (TM) Fabric Abrasive Belt 577F is a high performance abrasive tool for high alloy steels with a cooling abrasive aid. It features an aluminum oxide zirconia abrasive grain for better cutting performance on aluminum oxide abrasive belts and a tough, water-resistant YF load polyester backing that withstands high-pressure applications and edge work. The durable backing ensures a long service life and is suitable for wet and dry applications. The zirconia alumina grain with its high toughness ensures a low tendency to splinter. The result is high grinding performance at medium and high grinding pressures and good cutting rates, especially in the stainless steel sector. The tear-resistant Y-polyester backing is suitable for the highest loads. A grinding aid ensures a low temperature load on the abrasive grain. This reduces tarnishing and achieves a long service life and cutting ability.
