Aluminum oxide coated mineral on self-adhesive 3 mil polyester film backing. Available in 0.30 and 5.0 microns. This product is used for polishing fiber optic connectors. "Use 3M (TM) Lapping Film 268X to achieve a smooth and uniform finish when polishing fiber optic connectors. On 3M Lapping Film are densely packed and precisely graded aluminum oxide particles coated on a 3-mil polyester film with a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing. The tight particle distribution provides a more uniform sanding speed and finish.
