Our 3M (TM) PTFE film adhesive tape 5498 has an extruded PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) film carrier material. This tape has an extremely low coefficient of friction and, in combination with a silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive, creates a smooth, non-stick surface on various materials. This makes it particularly suitable for mold release applications where a silicone-free adhesive tape is required. With the 3M (TM) PTFE film tape 5498 you can reduce squeaking and rattling noises. Our brown, silicone-free, extruded tape with rubber adhesive is suitable for jobs that require products without silicone. It is compatible with a wide temperature range, will not re-roll and reduces friction for improved performance.
