The 3M (TM) Scotch (R) Tape 471+ is a blue PVC paint line tape used for high-quality painting work. Its good conformability allows easy masking in tight curves and also on uneven surfaces. It has a low thickness and is therefore particularly good for use with water-based and solvent-based paint systems. Its good paint adhesion enables sharp paint edges and is therefore also resistant to contamination of the paint by paint particles. It has very good long-term adhesion and thus prevents premature detachment from surfaces, good adhesion even on painted surfaces, glass and rubber. It is used in particular for design paintwork (e.g. motorcycle tanks), for rounded body parts, plastic parts, rubber profiles and for window masking.
