As 85 transparent. Can be used for splicing (photo films, audio and video magnetic tapes) and as a protective laminate. Our 3M (TM) polyester film tape 853 is a transparent polyester film tape with a solvent-resistant acrylic adhesive. It has been developed to withstand the rigors of processes where contact with solvents is a problem. This includes many applications for which this tape is ideal due to its thin but robust construction. The reverse side has low moisture vapor permeability, making it ideal for prolonged use. When used to protect critical labels, this tape will not obscure important information. The tape can withstand a wide range of temperatures from 60°F/ 50°C to 300°F/150°C.
