3M (TM) Polyester Tape 875 features a thin, high-strength polyester film that offers high conformability while meeting low thickness requirements. This tape can be used in demanding conditions and performs satisfactorily in short 204°C firing cycles as well as longer autoclave processes at up to 177°C. The high temperature resistance and rubber adhesive also make the tape ideal for painting, liquid or powder coating processes where residue-free release is required. Effective adhesive tape for high temperature applications The 3M (TM) Polyester Adhesive Tape 875 has a polyester film carrier with a green rubber-based adhesive. It is suitable for high temperature applications, including temporary masking and bonding of composite materials. It can be easily removed after application. The tape provides a clean release after autoclave processes where the tape has been used to hold TC wires, vacuum packing materials and tooling. The high temperature resistance of the silicone-free adhesive also makes the tape ideal for painting, liquid or powder coating processes. The 3M (TM) Polyester Adhesive Tape 875 can also be used at high temperatures and can be removed cleanly from stainless steel, aluminum and glass even after several hours at 177 °C. In shorter cycles, the tape performs satisfactorily in a temperature range up to 204 °C. The rubber-based adhesive can also be used on many workpieces where subsequent painting or bonding is required.
