The Scotch-Brite (TM) Flap Brush for Finishing provides better consistency and control for a variety of preparation and finishing applications including brushing on copper, brass, stainless steel and aluminum. The flap brushes do not require chemical compounds. They are therefore ideal for fine finishes and achieve aesthetic surface results. They are used for smoothing wood fibers, removing fibers from wood, plastic, composite surfaces and for roughening seals. These brushes are available with silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive mineral. . This mineral is suitable as a robust, durable abrasive. It forms points and edges that break off during grinding, exposing fresh cutting edges. As a result, it remains sharp for longer than conventional abrasives.
