Our disc is made of a tough, firm and dense non-woven material and is designed for long life and durability. The light brown medium grit disc is made with aluminum oxide. This mineral is suitable as a robust, durable abrasive. It forms points and edges that break off during grinding, exposing fresh cutting edges. As a result, it remains sharp for longer than conventional abrasives. The disc is often used for grinding and finishing due to its high removal rate, hardness and strength. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide range of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
