This electrical insulation tape provides moisture-resistant electrical and mechanical protection with minimal bulk through a combination of an elastic backing and a high-tack adhesive. Scotch (R) Electrical Insulation Tape 88 is an extra thick premium electrical insulation tape with a PVC film backing. It is characterized by its high abrasion resistance and mechanical strength. The insulating tape is coated with a rubber adhesive that has excellent adhesive strength and elasticity even at sub-zero temperatures. The 0.22 millimeter thick adhesive tape is self-extinguishing and resistant to temperatures of up to 105 °C in the long term. It can withstand a breakdown voltage of 10,000 volts and is resistant to moisture, UV radiation, oil, acids, alkalis and copper corrosion.
