Scotch (R) High Performance Masking Tape 233+ is a premium paper masking tape specifically designed for automotive, marine and other paint repair applications. It has excellent adhesion to smooth surfaces and removes cleanly without leaving adhesive residue or surface damage. This tape can be used on all typical automotive surfaces and with water or solvent based paint systems. Scotch (R) High Performance Masking Tape 233+ is highly conformable and easy to apply thanks to its green crepe paper backing. When used outdoors (UV radiation), this masking tape can be removed within three days without adhesive residue or tearing - and even longer when used indoors. The Scotch (R) high performance masking tape also prevents paint bleed-through and has a maximum temperature resistance of 120 °C for up to 30 minutes. A special back coating of the paper with a release liner provides excellent control when unwinding to the end of the 55m roll. It supports more precise masking and helps prevent paint bleed-through. Scotch (R) High Performance Masking Tape 233+ is recommended for working with water or solvent based paint systems and is also suitable for masking areas during wet sanding.
