The 3M (TM) splicing tape 9353 is a splittable adhesive tape for flying roll changes with a straight joint when splicing. It is equipped with a double-sided coating of water-soluble acrylic adhesive and an easily removable protective paper (also repulpable). A score line in the protective paper facilitates manual application. Our 3M (TM) splicing tape for flying splices repulpable 9353 is used for splicing tasks where the so-called "break-open-force" should be low. The repulpable adhesives offer good shear strength for coldset newspaper printing as well as heatset commercial printing and have been specially developed for good adhesion to a wide range of coated papers. The splittable layer has been modified for an overall lower splitting force and higher reliability of the splice seam when running on belt driven presses. This product can also be used on core driven presses.
