3M (TM) 98010LVC is a 100 µm thick transfer tape with a reinforcing scrim that provides good dimensional stability for large area lamination. Recommended for automotive interior applications such as fixing decorative elements, bonding many foams and high and low energy substrates. 98010LVC is a transfer adhesive tape with scrim and low VOC and FOG values that has been specially developed for use in vehicle interiors. It can be used for bonding common foam materials such as PU ester foams and EPDM as well as other high and low energy substrates. The scrim provides improved dimensional stability during lamination, but allows the adhesive to flow through the scrim for maximum adhesion to rough, open cell surfaces. The tape offers better conformability on profiled substrates than conventional double-sided tapes and a short-term temperature resistance of up to 135 °C. The tape has been specially developed to meet the requirements of vehicle manufacturers and suppliers with regard to the JAMA and VDA 278 standard.
