The 3M (TM) Trizact (TM) Fabric Abrasive Belt 237AA features proprietary microreplication technology in which micron-grade aluminum oxide particles are formed into small pyramids of abrasive mineral and then applied to an X-Last fabric backing. As these pyramids are removed, fresh, sharp mineral is continuously exposed to create an even cut and a predictable, accurate finish. This sanding tool with its very flexible J-fabric backing guarantees good adaptability and is particularly suitable for manual use on sanding blocks. Thanks to its "easy break down" structure, the sanding belt is preferably used at low sanding pressures in order to utilize its full capacity. The defined, uniform abrasive grain structure and constant mineral density ensure consistent roughness and cutting performance. The integrated grinding aid reduces the thermal influence on the workpiece structure. 217EA is recommended for manual use on sanding blocks and is particularly suitable on soft contact wheels up to 40 Shore or on free belts after pre-grinding P80 to P120. In order to utilize the full performance of the product, this product should preferably be used at low grinding pressures.
