The double-sided adhesive tape is typically used for attaching rigid add-on parts where an aesthetic visible edge is required. The 3M (TM) Acrylic Plus adhesive tape of the PT1000 series consists of black acrylic foam with additional acrylic adhesive on both sides. Typical applications of the tape are the attachment of rigid add-on parts such as spoilers, antenna housings, roof rails and wheel arch extensions where an aesthetic visible edge is desired. The double-sided adhesive tape has excellent long-term stability and very good adaptability to the surfaces to be bonded. Due to the unique viscoelastic properties of PT1000, stresses in the adhesive seam are excellently relieved, resulting in an extremely durable bond.
