Developed for fast stock removal on mild steel, the 3M (TM) 782C fibre disc is characterized by exceptional cutting properties, durability and easy handling. The performance of these discs represents a major advance over conventional fiber discs. Thanks to the advanced abrasive technology, this fiber disc is an excellent choice for demanding applications such as weld removal, veneering and surface finishing. These fibre discs contain precision-formed abrasive grains to optimize both speed of use and durability in mild steel processing. The construction of the wheel with a stiff fiber backing and a strong resin bond ensures durability and tear resistance, so that more parts can be processed per wheel and fewer overall wheel changes are required when combined with a fast cutting abrasive grain. Normally thermally conductive structural steels, forged steels and non-ferrous metals are all processed economically with the 3M (TM) fiber disc 782C in grit sizes 36+, 60+ and 80+.
