The 3M (TM) fibre disc 787C is ideal for the daily use of fibre discs without compromising on performance and economy. Achieve excellent service life and removal results for stainless steel up to grit size 120+, especially at low and medium pressure. The special design of this fibre disc ensures low temperature development on stainless steels, which are known for their poor thermal conductivity. Use the 787C fiber disc for increased performance when grinding stainless steel and high-alloy steels compared to conventional fiber discs. Thanks to their extremely high cutting performance, these fibre discs are an excellent choice for removing weld seams, blending and surface finishing of stainless steel or alloys with a high nickel content. The 787C fiber disc contains precision-formed abrasive grain, which is required to achieve very short processing times and long tool life in demanding applications from grinding to deburring. The product contains a grinding aid on the grain side to keep the workpiece cool and the grinding wheel lasts longer. The wheel consists of a stiff fiber backing, a strong resin bond and the abrasive coating, which ensures durability and wear resistance. This structure and the combination with precision-formed abrasive grain means that more parts per wheel can be processed faster and much cooler, and fewer wheel changes are required.
