The HSS-Co twist drill has a long service life when drilling stainless steel. The metal alloy with 5 % cobalt content and the HSS steel ground from the solid with excellent surface quality, wear resistance and heat protection ensure this extended service life. The two cutting edges and two spiral flutes quickly remove the chip flute and thus additionally extend the service life. This drill bit drills alloyed and unalloyed steel, stainless steel, cast iron, cast steel as well as acid and heat-resistant steel. The HSS-Co twist drill is manufactured in accordance with DIN 338. It belongs to drill type N (small side chip angle) with a drill point of 135 degrees and diameter tolerance h8. The cross-ground drill point enables active drilling and perfect centering without wandering.
