Terminology: The setting head is the part of the blind rivet nut that rests on the visible side of the component. The user can choose between the following variants: Flat head – for a large contact surface on the component. Small head – for minimal protrusion of the blind rivet nut and thus an almost flush fit of the assembled part. Countersunk head – for flush surfaces with countersunk holes. The shank is the part of the blind rivet nut that deforms during the setting process and secures the blind rivet nut in the component. This creates the so-called locking head. The user can choose from the following variants: round, knurled or polygonal (hexagonal or square). The material: The customer can obtain the blind rivet nut in steel, aluminium or stainless steel (A2, A4) to suit the specific application. The thread: As standard, GESIPA blind rivet nuts are fitted with metric threads, with the steel blind rivet nuts meeting the requirements of strength class 8.8.
