The resulting flat-seated head with an above-average diameter ensures excellent mechanical properties. Component damage such as crushing, cracks, delamination, etc. is thus avoided. The controlled formation of the closure head and the resulting reduced hole clearance allow for smaller edge distances of the blind rivet nut whilst simultaneously accommodating larger hole tolerances.
