However, this means that the rivet body can only deform slightly during the setting process. Consequently, a cup blind rivet has only marginal hole clearance properties. These are, however, necessary to compensate for larger drill hole tolerances. Care for a tight joint: If the GESIPA CAP blind rivet is installed with care, it provides the basis for a reliable ‘tight’ joint. The technical requirements make very careful preparation during application essential. The drill hole diameter should be as small as possible to ensure flawless performance in the application over the long term.
