Coloured blind rivets – visually appealing with added corrosion protection. GESIPA blind rivets are also available in coloured versions for the visually appealing joining of coloured components. Aluminium blind rivet parts are best suited to this process. GESIPA blind rivets are available in standard RAL colours. Another method of colouring blind rivets and also protecting them from corrosion is anodising. GESIPA blind rivets are anodised using the direct current sulphuric acid process. The term ‘anodised’ refers to the electrolytic oxidation of aluminium. The anodised surface is initially colourless. The desired lightfast colour is then achieved by applying a second layer using metal salts. Although anodising is the more complex process, it is also the more durable method for producing coloured blind rivets. Anodised blind rivets are also available on request. The range of coloured blind rivets comprises 16 RAL colours, each in ten sizes. The blind rivets are manufactured using the wet paint drum process. The colours are similar to the RAL colours.
