CAST EDGE mounted points form A 11 Ø 22x50mm shank Ø 6 mm SIC30 for gray and nodular cast iron. Series A mounted points are generally used on larger components. The special shapes of Series A mounted points allow grinding in a wide variety of contours. The range of applications extends from grinding out slots and grooves in hard-to-reach areas, to machining bores and small openings, to levelling. The CAST EDGE version is particularly suitable for use on edges and for grinding out sand inclusions and mineralization on grey and ductile cast iron in conjunction with high cutting speeds. The removal of sharp burrs and grinding of sand inclusions and mineralization on castings are among its main tasks.
