SIC flap disc F Ø 40x20mm shaft Ø 6 mm SIC60 for hard non-ferrous metals. With flap sanders, the abrasive flaps are arranged on a backing in a radial fan shape around the axis of the tool. Their flexibility allows them to adapt perfectly to the contours of the workpiece. The abrasive grain is embedded in a synthetic resin bond on the tension-resistant, flexible cloth backing. Flap sanders are listed in ISO 3919 under the designation "flap sanders". For universal grinding tasks on components made of aluminum, copper, bronze, titanium and fibre-reinforced plastics. Particularly recommended for use on titanium alloys. Ideally suited for the aircraft industry if only SiC is permitted for machining drive parts, for example.
