Steel wire is the most common filament material. Brushes with steel wire fill material are particularly suitable for surface treatment and deburring. PFERD special wire has a high tensile strength and flexural fatigue strength. This ensures optimum wear of the wire and a long service life, even in extreme brushing applications. Steel wire can withstand temperatures of up to 300 °C.
