Retring 3/4 inch 36.5 mm. This retring has been newly developed, designed with synthetic resin on the tip of the retaining ring (Fig. 1); this indicates when the nut is used up and should be replaced. The indicator is located at the top of the resin and reflects the offset between the safety holes (Fig. 2) of the nut and the drive square (when the nut shows considerable wear). The indicator is compressed by the offset at the raised edge of the pin (Fig. 3), indicating to the user that he should replace the nut. The tip of the resin is extremely elastic, allowing it to be compressed to up to 50% of its original shape (maintaining tensile strength and holding power) without breaking.
