Application
For clamping straight-shank tools. For internal cooling in HSC applications and for high-precision machining results in CENTRO|P.
Execution
- HPDD collets with small concentricity and repeat tolerance of 2 µm (for system tolerance of 3 µm and with 3 x dia. maximum = 50 mm).
- With seal for internal cooling and additional spray nozzles to enable the coolant to reach the cutting edge on tools without cooling channels + coloured ring for identification (no sealing function).
- Super-finished surface for enhanced retention force.
- Only the nominal dimension can be clamped (straight shank with h8).
- With FAHRION|Protect = corrosion protection for a longer service life.
- For ATORN precision collet chucks and FAHRION CENTRO|P precision collet chucks.
- HPDD with seal for internal coolant supply (can be used up to 60 bar) and spray nozzle.
Advantage
- Collets do not need to be replaced as often or can be used longer for specific applications.
- Greater concentricity extends tool service life.
Notes
Shanks with a flat lateral surface can only be used to a limited extent, i.e. the flat section must be behind the rubber plug in order to achieve a seal.
